Vaultica has joined the Danish Data Centre Industry (DDI), the Danish trade association for data centres, which represents organisations within the data centre sector in Denmark
Copenhagen, May 2026 – The membership marks a step in Vaultica’s ongoing establishment in Denmark and the Nordic region and reflects the company’s ambition to contribute to the development of digital infrastructure and actively participate in building a competitive data centre industry in Denmark.
Data centres form a central part of the digital infrastructure, and demand for capacity is rising in step with digitalisation, developments in artificial intelligence and growing data volumes, driven by an increasing need for advanced computing capacity. Through DDI, stakeholders from across the industry are joining forces to address issues relating to energy supply, licensing processes and long-term framework conditions for establishing data centres in Denmark – issues that are crucial to meeting the rapidly growing demand for digital infrastructure.
“We are delighted to welcome Vaultica as a new member. Their expertise complements that of our existing members, and we look forward to their involvement in the association,” says Henrik Hansen, founder and CEO of DDI.
“Joining the Danish Data Centre Industry is a natural step in our efforts to contribute to the development of the Danish data centre sector. Denmark has very favourable market conditions, not least thanks to access to renewable energy, a stable electricity grid and good opportunities to work towards more sustainable operations,” says Sherif Rizkalla, CEO of Vaultica Data Centers, and continues: “Through our membership, we aim to help strengthen the European data centre infrastructure through increased collaboration, whilst also playing an active role in the dialogue on the digital infrastructure of the future and enhancing our offering to customers in Sweden and the Nordic countries.”
In addition to its membership of the Danish organisation, Vaultica has also become a member of the trade association for data centres in both Sweden and Norway.
Vaultica currently operates seven data centres in five major European cities: Milan, Geneva, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo. Two more are on the way: construction of a new data centre in Milan has begun, whilst Vaultica has just announced plans to establish a data centre in Madrid. The Copenhagen data centre is located on Holmbladsgade in Amager and spans 1,600 m² across three floors.
